Crispy Crepes Café

Before I venture back into the world of coffee, tea and small café snacks, I decided to write on one more unique café, and not just because their name is an alliteration! (Although that was definitely a contributing factor.) Prior to visiting Crispy Crepes, I looked up the word café because I noticed their menu didn’t have coffee or tea options. (Note: When you visit Crispy Crepes, they have a small coffee machine and will make you tea if you want some.) According to Oxford dictionary, the first definition is a small restaurant selling light food and drinks. So, in this sense, Crispy Crepes is definitely a cafe.

A look inside the restaurant.

The restaurant has about 10 tables total and there’s artwork lining the walls. A TV on the side of the restaurant plays sports almost always and there’s a small couch area with only one table in the back. Although crepes are a French food, Crispy Crepes Cafe is a Mediterranean restaurant and their menu also includes lunch and dinner options. Their most popular sweet crepe is the strawberries, bananas and nutella. Katie Tiney, a BU student and Crispy Crepes patron loves the restaurant, and regularly orders the strawberry and nutella crepe. While one of the contributing factors to her frequent visits is the proximity of the restaurant to her apartment, she vouches for the quality and service of the restaurant. Of their savory crepes, people order “the Manhattan” the most. This crepe consists of smoked salmon, diced tomato, onion, chopped egg and cream cheese. To see more options on their menu, visit their website.
